Outstanding piece of Gibson guitar history.
I've had this 1944 Gibson LG-2 Banner for around 6 years. It's an absolute cannon for a small body guitar.
Spruce top, with side and back Maple which is a rare combination. The few that are still around are usually mahogany not maple. The wood grain is the best I've seen. Guitar plays great with no structural issues or repairs needed. Neck is nice and straight and action is perfect and never comes out of tune even if you don't touch it for 6 months.
Some top cracks have been professionally repaired and 1 small spline inserted in one spot as you can see from pictures.
Basket case rough models like this go for 5k that need repairs.
I don't know any other details other than what is listed and it's been in my private collection since i purchased it 6yrs ago.
If your looking for perfection for a comparable guitar your looking at $12k.
Only open to trades for 50’s or 60’s Martin dreadnought and cash
