Excellent condition. No buckle rash. It has a few small surface level scratches. See pics for details. There is also some pickguard swirlies as well. Overall in excellent condition. Each Peroba Rosa top is unique reclaimed wood and this one came with an existing nail hole in the top. There are no splits so it's a smooth continuous wood top. I've seen other reclaimed tops with wood splits. I think this one is an excellent example with nice figuring and a cool nail hole but still a nice solid slab top wood. The mahogany back and neck goes perfectly with the top and doesn't look disjointed. It's extremely light too. I had back surgery several years ago and this guitar was the only guitar I could play. The telecaster style barrel bridge is an excellent design for action and intonation adjustments. The 3 strings per barrel is a brilliant design. The Brauna Preto fingerboard feels like a dark Rosewood and has a nice pronounced roll off on the edges along with smooth fretwork. It has a very comfortable C shaped neck. It plays very easily and smoothly. I also really like the locking tuners. I wish more guitars had the locks on the top instead of the back. Then you have the bird inlays...... they always get compliments.
There are a couple of modifications. The stock bridge pickup sounded bad.... really bad... so I installed a TV Jones Classic Plus bridge pickup in chrome ($163). I did not wire in the coil tap as it seems unnecessary. I've never coil tapped any of my Filtertron style pickups nor have I ever seen it done. I think there are wires for it should you decide to try that out. The push/pull pot is still in the guitar. The TV Jones pickup blends perfectly with the stock neck pickup so I didn't change out that pickup. I also installed Dunlop strap lok buttons. I'm including a really nice SKB 1SKB-62 offset hard shell guitar case ($230). The guitar originally only came with a soft case which I don't have anymore. The guitar fits in the SKB the case like a glove and it provides way better protection. The case and pickup upgrades would be an extra $393. This one is the one you want.
