Fitted with MicroLock and a series of upgraded instrument clips, the 4099 CORE+ provides even better stability and flexibility on any type of instrument.

Now with CORE+ technology
Since 2017, 4099 Instrument Mics have benefited from DPA’s CORE technology and now it’s time for CORE+. While CORE by DPA is a powerful technology that minimizes distortion, CORE+ offers even more, taking the 4099 to the next level. CORE+ microphones deliver even greater clarity across the entire dynamic range, from the quietest passages to extremely high SPLs. They offer an unprecedented sense of openness. On some instruments like grand piano and horns, where the harmonic structure is essential to the instrument’s natural character, even minor artifacts can compromise the sound. With CORE+, this risk is dramatically reduced, preserving the integrity of the source.

• CORE+ technology: offers a wider dynamic range (10 dB more than previous CORE models) and 3 dB higher clipping point for greater headroom and detail
• Loud SPL version: withstands up to 145 dB SPL, ideal for close-miking most acoustic instruments including drums, strings, guitar, and more
• Supercardioid polar pattern: provides focused pickup with excellent rejection of off-axis sound for clear, isolated capture with less bleed and feedback
• G-MOUNT gooseneck mechanism: enables precise placement with one-handed operation and improved vibration isolation
• Advanced shockmount: reduces structure-borne noise and stage vibration for a cleaner, more consistent sound
• Flexible mounting system: Securely attaches to a wide variety of instruments with improved grip and minimal impact on surfaces
• MicroLock connector: ensures a stable connection and allows for quick changes between wireless and wired setups
• Discreet and lightweight design: blends easily into performance environments without distracting from the instrument or performer
• IP58 certified: resistant to dust, water, and humidity, ensuring reliable operation under challenging conditions
• Modular design: one microphone can be used across multiple instruments—just change the mounting clip to match
