Mesa/Boogie MIDI Quad Preamp, the late-80s four-mode tube rack preamp, and this one is the MIDI-equipped version. Most Quad Preamps you’ll see have the MIDI section blanked off or absent. This one has the factory MIDI board fitted with MIDI IN and MIDI THRU, and the rear panel is printed “MIDI QUAD PREAMP” from the factory.

Condition notes: Fully working. Cosmetic wear is limited to some paint chipping on the top and front edges and light dust on the sliders. The internals are clean and original-looking, with Sprague and Mesa-branded filter caps and 1988–89 date codes. Pots and jacks have been cleaned, The mains lead is cable-tied to the chassis.

What’s included: Unit and mains lead only, no footswitch included, but can be switched using any MIDI switcher, FU-2, Abacus switcher, or the old fashioned relay jacks, a footswitch is required to switch channels.
