What a stunning condition for this 49 year old musicman stingray bass.
Barely a mark on it, and still inside the original hard case. Sublime tone, insane sustain , typical of the early stingrays.
The checking on the original black finish is just divine.
No classic or reissue can get close to early original rays, the feel and sound is not quite the same.
The original black epoxy preamp works like new and the long poles pickup is perfect.
Low action, trussrod fully functional.
Very rare to see a black one in these condition as the paint tends to chip very easily on this particular colour.
One for the collectors and the players.
