Late 1963, early 1964 Ludwig Super Classic kit, 13/16/22, in excellent original condition. The Champagne Sparkle wrap is tight and vibrant. Chrome is bright and shiny with minimal, if any, micro putting. Hoops are chrome over brass. Shells are round and heads spin freely. Baseball bat mufflers are present. Interiors are original white. Bass drum hoops, with original inlays have been refinished.
No extra holes or any other issues to report. Serial numbers, of lack thereof put the toms at 1963 and the bass drum (the only one with a intact date stamp) at January 14 1964, 27 days before Ringo appeared on the Ed Sullivan show and changed everything. All and all an absolutely gorgeous and meticulously maintained drum set.
The drums are currently fitted with generic heads for display. I'll leave the final head choice to the next owner
