Pre Owned Zildjian Avedis 20” Medium Ride Cymbal

Weight 2565 grams

Excellent condition

The Avedis Zildjian 20-inch Medium Ride is a versatile, all-purpose ride cymbal known for its bright, clear sound, defined stick attack, and ability to produce a strong crash when struck on the edge. It's part of Zildjian's classic A Family, a popular choice for drummers who want one ride that can handle a wide range of musical styles.

How does it sound?

• Stick definition: Clear, articulate stick hits make it easy to maintain a steady rhythm without getting lost in the mix.
• Overall tone: Bright and shimmering, with a medium-range pitch and a classic, lively cymbal character.
• Bell sound: Distinct and cutting enough to accent patterns and musical transitions.
• Wash: Produces a pleasing spread of shimmering overtones beneath the stick sound, adding fullness without necessarily overwhelming the rhythm.
• Crashability: Unlike some heavier rides designed primarily for ping and definition, this cymbal can be crashed on its edge for a powerful, full sound

What makes the 20-inch Medium Ride special?

The main advantage is its balance between definition and versatility. A very heavy ride may give you a pronounced ping but resist crashing, while a thin ride may wash out when you play harder. The A Zildjian Medium Ride aims for a middle ground: clear enough for intricate ride patterns, substantial enough for louder music, and responsive enough to open up when you strike the edge.

The 20-inch size also makes it a practical choice for many standard drum kits, offering a substantial ride sound without taking up as much space as a 22-inch model.
