A beautiful piece of Gibson history – a genuine 1994 Gibson Hummingbird from Gibson's 100th Anniversary year.

Offered for sale is my 1994 Gibson Hummingbird acoustic guitar, finished in the stunning Cherry Sunburst that has become synonymous with this legendary model.

Manufactured in Bozeman, Montana, during Gibson's centenary year, this is a wonderfully characterful, American-made, square-shoulder dreadnought with over three decades of history behind it.

Featuring the iconic decorated Hummingbird pickguard, distinctive mother-of-pearl parallelogram fretboard inlays, traditional Gibson headstock and commemorative 100th Anniversary interior label, this is a guitar that looks every bit as special as its heritage suggests.

I've owned this Hummingbird for approximately 15 years, and it comes complete with its purple plush-lined hard case.

Condition

For complete transparency, there is some cosmetic wear, most noticeably an area of peeling lacquer on the back of the neck, leaving smooth wood underneath. There are also some smaller marks and areas of finish wear consistent with its age, as shown in the photographs.

I have deliberately left the finish untouched rather than attempting a restoration, allowing the next owner to decide whether to retain its original character or have the finish professionally attended to.

Although I am happy to sell the guitar outright, I would also be very interested in exchanging it for a Martin D-28 acoustic guitar of similar value.

Ideally, I'm looking for a well-maintained, American-made Martin D-28, and would welcome sensible exchange proposals from genuine guitar enthusiasts.

I'm also happy to discuss a cash adjustment either way for the right instrument.
