Beautiful WWII-era Gibson L-7 archtop guitar, dating to approximately 1943–1945. A fantastic example of Gibson’s wartime craftsmanship, featuring a carved spruce top, maple back and sides, original sunburst finish, split-parallelogram inlays, and crown headstock inlay.
This guitar has tons of character and nearly all of its original components, including the pickguard, bridge, tailpiece, and hardware. The only known replacements are the truss rod cover and pickguard screws.
The guitar has had several professionally repaired side cracks, including a patched hole on the upper bout. All repairs are pictured. The carved top and back are crack-free. Beautiful original finish with decades of natural checking, wear, and patina throughout.
A wonderful piece of Gibson history with that unmistakable old-school archtop sound. Perfect for jazz, Western swing, early country, or collectors of vintage Gibson instruments.
Includes a modern Gator hard case.
