What a rarity! A lot of the Firebrand 335-S you find out there are all mahogany like any other Gibson and you'll probably never see another one in Cherry Burst like this one for sale. This standard model eventually had the mini toggle switch added, hence the different location than found on the 335-S Deluxe variant. This one is maple body, maple set neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
This guitar is definitely not original. Lots of parts and mods make this an absolute player though!
- handmade, unbleached bone nut
- re-fretted years ago and recently given a fresh fret level-crown-polish
- Seymour Duncan humbuckers: JB model bridge, Jazz model neck
- Grover rotomatic locking tuners, 106 series I believe, with alternate large white pearl buttons
The truss rod works great, the neck is straight, frets are level, action is perfect at the nut and bridge. Intonation dialed in for 10-46 and E-standard. Currently has D'addario EXL-110 strings.
The mini-toggle switch is a 3 position and affects only the bridge pickup, as follows:
UP - humbucker parallel wired
MIDDLE - coil tapped
DOWN - humbucker series wired (normal)

Please review all of the photos. This is a player's grade guitar. There are tuning machine and pickup ring holes that have been plugged and re-drilled. Everything is 100% structurally sound, and the guitar is an absolute joy to rip on.
