Gretsch Winyard Malcolm Young

Winyard Guitars custom "Salute" to the 1963 Gretsch G6131 Jet Firebird that brought all of Malcolm Young's classic AC/DC riffs to the world.

Based on a new Gretsch Double Jet, all metal and electrical parts have been stripped, tested, upgraded or replaced with the best possible current alternatives.

Yellowed, aged, relic'd, and given every ounce of mojo typical of a guitar that has seen hundreds of gigs around the world.

Brand new Filtertron hand-made by Fletcher Pickups (closest possible replica of Malcolm's Gretsch pickup that was re-wound by John Diggins in Birmingham) and a complete Professional fret-level and crown, making this the best sounding AND playing MY available. Beautiful 7lb 4oz/3.28kg average weight and lovely balance.

This "Salute" is set-up for 10-46 strings, so if you want one set up for 12-56s like Malcolm, please get in touch. Wiring can be specified. Shipping can be arranged for £30 but will require an unbranded hard case to be purchased too, say £60/70 or the Gretsch one for the going rate, currently about £100.

Description of this "Salute" is Very Good, as everything is brand new of course, but made to look old. There is a 4-6 week lead time on manufacture but there is usually one in stock (pictured here).
