*The 43C is a made-to-order leadpipe option. It has less resistance than the standard 25C, with an open, flexible blowing feel.

[Condition]
Dent repair history and lacquer loss on the 2nd valve slide. Trace of straightening on the bell rim. Lacquer loss on the leadpipe, receiver, parts of both sides of the valve casings, and the slides. Rub marks and light lacquer loss on the side of the rear bell bow. Cleaned inside and out; all soft parts replaced and serviced throughout.
*Piston inner felts are pressed felts we order specifically for Bach, used for alignment stability and durability; felt thickness has been fine-tuned to this instrument.

[Features]
A factory assembly of the Bach C180L239 gold brass bell with the made-to-order 43C leadpipe. This is not a later leadpipe swap but an instrument built to this spec by Bach, and the choice of lacquer rather than silver plating further suggests a clear intent behind the combination.

The 43C pipe offers less resistance than the standard 25C, letting the air go in naturally with flexibility in note placement. Where the classic Bach C 229 bell / 25H pipe leans toward a defined, focused core, this one spreads the air a bit wider, making it easy to build a resonance reminiscent of a rotary trumpet. It suits filling the space with rich resonance rather than pushing the sound forward.

The 239 gold brass bell and lacquer finish add softness and depth to the tone while keeping a clear outline. Despite the openness of the L bore and 43C, the sound does not get thin or scattered; it stays full and sings freely. A commanding orchestral C trumpet sound with a different kind of depth.

There are signs of use such as lacquer loss and dent-repair marks, but it has been serviced, including interior/exterior cleaning and replacement of all soft parts. Recommended especially for players who know the standard Bach C sound and want to experience the "other voice" of the 43C pipe and 239GB bell.
