The Entity Metalloid is an experimental analog synthesizer designed for metallic percussion and synthetic noise. Three analog oscillators feed two ring-modulated signal paths, creating distinct but related metallic tones. Three macro controls shape tuning and harmonic relationships, ranging from complex, inharmonic textures to harmonically locked sounds.
Two state-variable filters sculpt the frequency content, while dual envelopes with voltage-controlled decay independently control the filters and VCAs. Dynamic trigger inputs respond to trigger amplitude, and dedicated VCA CV inputs allow direct level control. Normalized trigger inputs and outputs make it easy to layer both voices without an external mixer.
