Original 1960's Kluson Deluxe “Double Line” Button Tuners (D-169400)

Original American-made Kluson Deluxe double-line tuners with white plastic buttons and D-169400 patent markings. These were manufactured in Chicago and used by Fender beginning in late 1964, particularly on the Mustang, Duo-Sonic II, and Musicmaster II throughout the mid-to-late 1960s.

This is a complete and original vintage set of six.

All six tuners are in good working condition, with straight shafts, smooth operation, and no bent pegs or sticky gears. Cosmetically, they show the expected, tasteful patina, light surface rust, and general wear from approximately 60 years of use. Nothing unusual for hardware of this age.

The original white buttons have survived particularly well. They remain predominantly white, without significant discoloration, deterioration, or shrinkage. One button has a small, superficial crack, clearly shown in the photographs.

Seven mounting screws are included, three of which appear to be original. The remaining screws are provided strictly as a courtesy and are not represented as original or considered part of the set's value.

Overall a quite nice, honest set of vintage Klusons with plenty of life left in them. Ideal for a period-correct Fender restoration or anyone looking for genuine 1960s hardware rather than modern reproductions as a statement accent for their guitar.
