Shipping cost is TBD. If you come in clean at the $4250 (USD) price, I'll cover the shipping cost. Otherwise, I'll need an address along with your offer to price out shipping. Reverb doesn't appear to offer a "message for estimate" option.

This 1987 100-watt Silver Jubilee is in very good to excellent condition (certainly excellent for a 40-year-old amp). I had my amp tech give it a clean bill of health right after I bought it a few years ago. At my request, he installed Mullard reissue power tubes, arguably the best sounding EL34 tubes available. This amp sounds SO good.

The Holy Grail of High-Gain British Crunch

Celebrated by tone purists as one of the finest, most versatile amplifiers Marshall ever produced, the Jubilee circuit offers a unique blend of tight low end, thick mid-range punch, and smooth high-gain saturation. If you’re reading this ad, you might already know that unlike stock JCM800s of the era, the Silver Jubilee circuit features a unique diode-clipping stage and a highly effective EQ section, giving you everything from glassy clean headroom to ferocious, singing lead tones at both 100W and 50W output levels (via the pentode/triode switch).

The Silver Jubilee is famous for defining signature guitar tones:

  • Slash (Guns N' Roses) – Used original 2555s exclusively on the Use Your Illusion tour (and inspired his signature AFD / JCM 2555 series).
  • John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers) – Anchors his iconic clean edge-of-breakup and heavy crunch tones with Jubilee heads.
  • Joe Bonamassa – Relies on the Jubilee for smooth, rich, horn-like lead sustain and headroom.
  • Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi) – Relied heavily on Jubilee half-stacks during the late '80s peak tour era.
  • Alex Lifeson (Rush) – Used Silver Jubilees extensively live and in studio during the late '80s.
  • Steve Morse (Deep Purple / Dixie Dregs) – A long-time user of the Jubilee setup for high-speed articulate leads.

The amp will be shipped in an old flight case/road case, included in the amp price. I’ve just asked Larry Kohut at Red Rock Amps for the invoice for the work he did on it in 2023 to bring it up to perfect health which I’ll add here if/when I receive it. He featured the amp on his Facebook business page in 2023 when I bought the amp. Reverb removes outside links, so I can’t add the direct link here. But he did a couple of things that brought the amp back to perfect shape aesthetically and also serviced the amp with premium F&T German-made filter capacitors so you won’t have to worry about servicing the power supply for decades.

As I don’t offer refunds, please watch the video so you can get a close look at it to be sure it meets your expectations.
