The Barb EQ from Barber Electronics, made in York, PA, is an all-analog tone shaping pedal that recreates classic Fender amp tone stacks. It's built for amps with a single tone control or none at all, giving them the full, familiar EQ of a bigger amp. Volume, treble and bass knobs set the level and tone. A 3-way toggle selects the midrange voicing, and a 2-way toggle switches between black-panel and high-power tweed EQ. It runs on 9V to 24V, and higher voltages give you extra headroom.

This is the current compact version, built under Barber's B-Custom label in a seafoam green finish. It differs from the original 4-knob Barb EQ, which had a dedicated mids knob and ran on 9V only. The tweed setting is punchy and the black-panel setting has more shimmer, which makes it a simple way to get classic amp tone from a small practice or low-watt amp.
