Reverend Pete Anderson Eastsider T Deep Satin Blue 2026 Electric no Bag/Case
Guitarist and producer Pete Anderson is best known for his long run with Dwight Yoakam, producing and playing on the hit records that brought the Bakersfield country sound roaring back in the 1980s and 1990s. A Grammy-winning producer who never stopped playing and performing, Anderson teamed up with Reverend on the Eastsider T, a signature model that has been part of the Reverend lineup for more than a decade. The Eastsider T is his vision of a T-style guitar that honors the classic design while adding the versatility and reliability a working player needs.
Like most Reverend guitars, the Eastsider uses a korina body, but here it is chambered under the pickguard. At around 8 pounds it is not a featherweight, but the chambering keeps it comfortable for what is otherwise a full-thickness, non-contoured T-style body. The Eastsider keeps the traditional string-through-body hardtail bridge and adds stainless steel saddles for a little extra sparkle and long-term wear resistance.
The Reverend Talnico (Alnico 5) pickups are voiced to capture the sound of 1950s Telecaster pickups without the usual drawbacks of a murky, compressed neck tone or an overly bright, brittle bridge. Moderate in output, they offer a great blend of country twang, with extra punch from the neck pickup and just a touch of softness at the bridge to keep it from getting shrill. Along with the traditional 3-way pickup selector, volume, and tone controls, the tone knob has a push-pull switch that puts the pickups out of phase for a thinner, quacky middle position. We would have preferred a series/parallel option, but that is an easy mod to make.
The 6-bolt roasted maple neck has 22 neatly finished frets, locking tuners, and a triple string tree, something every Fender-style headstock should have. We measured the neck at about 0.830" at the 1st fret and 0.880" at the 12th, putting it squarely in slim C territory that will feel familiar to USA Fender players. Unlike many Reverend models, the Pete Anderson Eastsider features a 10" to 14" compound radius fingerboard and a slightly wider 43mm (1.69") nut, giving you plenty of room for picking down low and easier bends higher up the neck.
With vintage tone and modern playability, the Reverend Pete Anderson Eastsider T keeps one foot in the past while giving players the feel, adjustability, and stability they need on stage and in the studio.
