Built in 2020 for the previous owner by Brent Bagby of Solderhaus Amps near Seattle, this 5E4 Tweed Super clone features a pair of Jensen P10Rs from 1959. The speakers have been reconed and the baskets have been spray painted blue, with the original codes masked off prior to painting.
This amp was built with care and attention to detail, with quality components throughout: Mercury Magnetics transformers, red Astron replica caps, stuffed orange Astron caps, and carbon comp resistors. The pine cabinet is nicely finished in lacquered tweed.
It’s a great sounding, very gig-able amp with a beefy tweed tone.
Available for local pickup only. I’m willing to meet part way to make pickup easier.
