E-mu SP-1200, the most iconic sampling drum machine in hip-hop and house. It’s in good working condition, with all pads, sliders, buttons, and the display functioning as they should, and it shows normal cosmetic wear for a machine of its age.

This unit has been fitted with a Gotek floppy emulator, so you can load and save sounds and sequences to a USB stick instead of hunting down aging floppy disks. The original disk drive is included, so the machine can be returned to stock if you prefer.

The SP-1200 needs little introduction. Its 12-bit, 26.04 kHz sampling and analog filters give drums a gritty, punchy, warm character that people have been trying to emulate in software for decades. Pitching samples down produces the ringing, crunchy aliasing heard on countless classic records, and the sequencer has a swing and feel all its own.

Features:

• 12-bit sampling at 26.04 kHz
• 10 seconds of total sample time
• 32 sounds across four banks of eight
• Eight sliders for tuning, decay, and mix level
• Eight individual outputs plus mix out, with analog filtering
• Built-in sequencer with swing and quantize
• MIDI in, out, and thru, plus SMPTE sync
• Gotek USB floppy emulator installed
• Original floppy drive included

Includes the SP-1200, power cable, and the original disk drive. It has been tested and works well: it samples, sequences, and loads and saves through the Gotek. It will be double-boxed, packed carefully, and shipped insured. Feel free to message me with any questions.
