Used SSL Fusion
This is my SSL Fusion. it was used In Industrial Strength Samples Smoke Free studio. The unit works as good as the day we bought it. This unit was purchase brand new at Alto Music In Brooklyn. I am the only owner. The unit has never left our studio. Everything works. The Fusion gives you that true Solid State Logic sound. There are no crackles, pops, or any noise due to over use. All the lights work across the whole unit. We have used this unit on multiple Music,Pod castes, Mixes, Sample pack demos, and of course sound design. We also use it for mastering. It's a SSL work horse. I will do a check so it arrives with no dust or anything like that. We kept great care of it. I have the org Box and I think the pdf manual it came with. However it prob better to grab a more detailed user manual on SSL Website. The power chord is also included. The Vintage Drive is pretty nasty or pretty subtle depends on how you want it to sound. The HF Compressor is amazing and this feature really stands out for harsh vocals, full tracks and just about any high end problem you want to tame. The transformer works and has a nice subtle sound when needed. The insert works perfectly. We had a few other units run thru it so it works 100%. The stereo Image is amazing. This thing gets your track wide and focused. The Mid Side is a serious plus when using this unit. Add your EQ or compressor in the Insert to activate the M/S. You can use the insert without M/S so you can daisy chain your gear instead of using an expensive patch bay. Great first unit to have in any situation. We have even used it on Individual tracks, Vocals, Drums and Synth. It's versatile for any source. If you seek SSL analog vibe this might be what you're looking for. it's It sounds clean or it can get driven harder. The input and output knobs work as one for easy gain staging. People say SSL has Mojo. However I am long time SSL console user. With all SSL units they absorb the color of a sound and push back, giving any vintage analog gear a tight SSL sound. This box shines on any source. For the mix buss it's perfect. It has a sweet Violet EQ with Fixed frequency's. The Eq is smooth and is great for broad stroke EQ. The HPF is nice to filter low end mud esp on single tracks. Example Vocals. With the HF compressor it's great to tackle those HF problems. Just Insert it in your Daw and you're off. This unit is Stereo. If you're using the plug in. Well it's night and day. Check out Mix Buss TV where he compared them side by side. Why are we getting rid of it ? We have so much gear in here we out grew out of it. This bad Boy needs a great home. If you're starting out and dont want to break the bank while getting all the tools you will need for loads of applications. Check out Audio Animals for his take on it. It's one of his Desert Island Units. However the Hf Compressor is gold. We don't know any Hardware unit that does this. Check Mix Buss Tv. You can hear the examples he gives. There are Zero scratches on the front panel, maybe with minor rack screws. If you need the screws let me know and I will put them in the box It's plug and play. This is a well rounded unit and really a great first piece of gear to use if you're looking for a multi purpose analog sound. If you have any questions fee free to hit me up. I wrote this text. Not Chat GBP. I know the unit inside and out.
