The 1460 was part of the late-68 'Japanese Invasion' of the Sears catalog. It looked kinda like a sharpened ES-335. Outfitted with a made in Japan whammy (similar to the 1475) and a spring-loaded roller bridge, your 90 bucks with tax got you a pretty well-appointed machine. Straightforward volume tone knobs and selector switch let you shape the sound from the single coil pickups.

Introduced:
Fall/Winter 1968 as the 57H1460 at $88.95

Retired:
Spring/Summer 1970

This one has some wear and a few scars

The Silvertone badge is missing from the headstock. A previous owner has written his or her initials in marker on the trussrod ("PFS") and engraved them on the neck plate along with "1972".

The pickguard and tremolo bar are both missing.

Pickup selector switch tip is missing.

There has been damage around the jack area which has been glued for stabilization---does seem solid

The pots can be scratchy (though they are not always) and the bridge pickup sometimes goes in and out. I can stick my finger in the F hole and touch a wire and it will come back. My fingers are too fat to attempt to actually fix the issue but it seems like a minor one that can be easily addressed.
