KarDian Serotonin Origin S.T. Original Tube Screamer Designer, Made in Japan

New effect from Father of the Tube Screamer, Susumu Tamura
The legendary pedal was born in 1978. Now, its creator, Susumu Tamura- a former engineer at Maxon has created an entirely new Tube Screamer-style pedal in collaboration with KarDiaN.

After studying various makes and models of the TS, they've developed a completely new overdrive pedal that captures the essence of vintage models while setting itself apart from them. "We fine-tuned not only the overall sound balance but also the subtle nuances of tone, adjusting the gain repeatedly down to the dB level."

The “Serotonin Origin S.T.” reflects a special attention to detail right down to its components. In particular, the heart of the sound is a special operational amplifier handpicked by Susumu Tamura, which is aparently no longer in production. However, Susumu Tamura has secured tens of thousands of these in stock to ensure his signature sound remains consistent. In addition, by using carefully selected components, such as Orange Drop coupling capacitors and Amtrans' AMRG, they've achieved a truly one-of-a-kind sound.

"We also took on a new challenge with the finish this time. Some vintage Tube Screamer enclosures feature a yellow base coat; on well-worn units, the green surface paint wears away to reveal the yellow base. We’ve recreated this vivid multi-layered green and yellow finish in this unit as well."

It has been 45 years since Susumu Tamura created his legendary pedal. In its 46th year, Susumu Tamura and KaDiaN’s Kitada have collaborated to create a new legendary overdrive. Experience the magnificent Origin S.T. sound—one that lives up to the legacy of the original.
