Our users rate Reverb
Built to meet the demands of Flea's energetic playing style, the Flea Signature Active Jazz Bass pairs a custom-shaped alder Jazz Bass body with a Fender Custom Humbucking pickup and Aguilar OBP-1 18-volt preamp. Its active electronics provide Master Volume, Treble and Bass controls, delivering high-output performance in a streamlined single-pickup configuration.
The quartersawn maple neck has a satin urethane finish and comfortable “C”-shaped profile, with a custom-carved heel for access to the upper frets. A 34" scale maple fingerboard features a fast 12"–16" compound radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, black dot inlays and a bone nut.
Finished in Satin Shell Pink, this USA-made signature model is fitted with a top-loaded 4-saddle HiMass bridge, lightweight vintage-style tuners with tapered shafts, vintage-style disc string tree, locking strap buttons and a 5-bolt asymmetrical neck plate with custom Flea artwork.
