Super Tube Amplifier - refurbished + modified

Tube Hi-Fi Amplifier - Fully refubished and custom modifed switchable - with Magnetic Phono Cartridge Input

Listening to Tube is a completely different listening experience. Music on this amp appears as: present (right in front of you), naturalness, brilliance, amazing detail, warmth, airyness. Only "fully refurbished" equipment brings out these qualities, as aged parts take them away. This is a nice quality great sounding tube amplifier to begin with, so I first fully refurbished this amplifier to it's original Glory - then I applied 2 different modifications AND: made them switchable - You may listen to this amplifier in it's original vintage, but refurbished mode, and then switch in: 1) "Open Air" my special modification to get more detail in sound and/or 2) "Definition / Dimension" my modification for a clearer sound image. Explore the dimensions of sound in breathtaking detail, warmth and clearity - but most of all: Enjoy the music!

This amp has magnetic phono cartridge input which means: can be used with any modern turntable - tube vinyl listening that really amazes! Play records through a tube amplifier and you will realize what you never heard before - Vacuum Tubes are more sensitive than other circuitry, so there is so much more detail in the audio.

Features: 3 line level inputs: Radio, TAPE, Spare, Magnetic PHONO Input (for Vinyl - compatible with modern phono cartridges) and: "Tape Head" input which allows to hook up an audio source at Microphone level - There is a Recording output (high impedance only) - Loudness, Balance, Bass and Trebble controls and a "Filter" switch that I modified to turn on/off my "Open Air" modfication - Back panel: speaker impedance selector tabs - speaker outputs - Power: 2 x 17W RMS - Tubes: 2x 12AX7, 2 x 7199, 4 x 6BQ5, 1 x 5AR4

Work Performed to present this unit as fully refurbished: Replaced/Upgraded capacitors, checked / replaced some resistors. Once amplifier working: Custom modifications (that can be switched in or out to retain the original sound of this amplifier) Full functional and duration test. Physical cleaning and detail work.

Physical Condtion: Typical for age sings of aging and use, overall good.

PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS - I am here to assist. All items are used and VINTAGE - sold "AS-IS" (-> vintage = often 50 years old!!!) and even with the best of refurb / repair work STILL CAN FAIL) and thus is sold without warranty or guarantees of any kind (AS-IS). I aim to perform all work that I foresee necessary, to provide equipment in well and reliably working condition - refurbish in as much detail as possible - and test thoroughly, to gain confidence through testing, to predict that it will last, but once work complete, it is still possible that something can go or be wrong with it (vintage) - Prices of items offered here reflect the work that went into a given piece of gear until it is listed, but cannot cover what a given piece may need in the future - that would be at your risk and expense - If there are defects, problems or shortcomings: likely I can repair, but it will be at additional cost - I do service what I sell at my regular shop rate. Any shipping costs responsibility of the buyer.
