G&L LB100-2025 USA Built to order Empress wood beauty. Vintage White with dark Rosewood board (not the lighter, nasty looking Caribbean Rosewood), Jazz width neck at 1.5" with a 12" radius, Satin Clear finish. Matching Vintage White Headstock, Tortoise pickguard, looks like a vintage dream, sounds great. Weighs 7.4 pounds.
Currently strung with LaBella Low Tension Flats. This bass could pass for new, never left my smoke and pet free, A/C'd, humidity controlled music room.
Three Mods:
1) I installed a Nordstrand Tone Drop pot. This is a 250k push/pull pot that switches from .047uf-.1uf. The latter setting gives a darker sound. Also upgraded the volume pot and the entire wiring harness as a pre-wired setup from Fat Bass Tone. $99 upgrade.
2) Since the standard G&L gig bag was not great for a bass of this quality, I upgraded to a Gator G-PG Pro Go gig bag that is infinitely better and fits this bass like a padded glove. $209 upgrade.
3) Installed Dunlop Dual Design Strap Loks. $20 upgrade.
Since G&L is no longer, you can't order one of these and I doubt you'll find a cleaner example, especially with the Empress body.
