Godin 2001 A6 Cognac Burst RN - an acoustic-electric that plays just like an electric guitar.
[Staff comment]
Godin is a Canadian guitar maker founded by Robert Godin, known for acoustic and nylon-string guitars and for building guitars with original ideas. The A6 was designed around the concept of being played without any awkwardness when switching from an electric guitar.
Finished in Cognac Burst, a deep brown that darkens toward the edges and shows off the warmth of the wood. The narrow, electric-style neck lets electric players' fingers move as usual from the moment they pick it up - recommended especially for those who find typical acoustic necks too thick.
Godin's chambered body with cedar top and maple back, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The cedar top gives a warm, quick-responding sound that speaks clearly even with a light touch. The thin, light body is comfortable for long gigs and rehearsals, and it has enough acoustic volume for practice at home without an amp. Side-mounted controls: Volume and 3-band EQ (High / Mid / Low), for quick adjustments on stage.
Shows wear consistent with age, but sound and playability are good.
