2003 Deering John Hartford 5-String Resonator Banjo, 22 Fret, Hardshell Case
This 22 fret 2003 Deering John Hartford with a standard flange is in excellent condition and has been set up by our banjo technician Tara. It comes with a hardshell case.
Geoff Hohwald says it is in really excellent shape. He points out the grenadillo wood, and says the Hartford was made so you could play clawhammer, like John Hartford did, or three finger style. In the video he plays it so you can hear it.
The Hartford nameplate in the fingerboard is abalone. Deering says it changed the nameplate from mother of pearl to abalone after John Hartford passed away. The label inside the resonator dates this banjo to December 2003.
Condition: used, excellent. One thing shows in the photographs: light scuffing on the armrest.
