This vintage Yamaha Tour Custom 13x11 rack tom features the striking Cobalt Blue lacquer finish and classic Japanese craftsmanship of Yamaha's highly regarded 8000 Series drums from the 1980s.
Manufactured in Japan, the original Tour Custom series featured shells constructed from birch and Philippine mahogany, combining the focused attack and projection of birch with the warmth and low-end body of mahogany. The deeper 11-inch shell delivers a full, punchy tone with excellent depth and resonance, characteristic of the power tom configurations popular throughout the 1980s.
The Cobalt Blue lacquer finish is one of the most recognizable finishes from Yamaha's vintage Tour Custom lineup. This 13-inch tom is an excellent choice for restoring or expanding an existing Yamaha 8000 Series drum set, or for drummers looking to add a classic Japanese-made tom to their setup.
