Up for sale is a rare find: a Digidesign 003 Rack featuring Black Lion Audio's top-tier, flagship Signature Series Modification. This unit is in Mint Condition.

Unlike most 003 units on the market, this has been meticulously preserved in a smoke-free studio environment. No bent ears or scratchy pots. Every single input, output, knob, and switch works flawlessly like the day it came back from Chicago.

Why this unit is worth the premium:

For modern workflows, this unit shines beautifully as a high-end standalone 8-channel AD/DA converter expander via ADAT Optical (Lightpipe). If you have a modern interface with an ADAT input (like an Apollo, Focusrite, or Motu), you can use this BLA Signature unit as an incredible boutique front-end expansion to gain 8 world-class channels of pristine conversion, high headroom preamps, and Burr-Brown signal routing.

The Signature Mod Overhaul includes:

    •    Full Analog Stage upgrade featuring boutique Burr-Brown OPA4134 op-amps on all inputs and outputs for incredible depth and clarity.

    •    Rebuilt, ultra-low noise mic preamps with massive headroom.

    •    BLA 220/270sp internal Master Clock for a wide, detailed stereo image.

    •    Power supply decoupling to eliminate background hum and lower the noise floor.

Bonus Included Accessories:

    •    Original power cable

    •    FireWire 400 cable

    •    Official Apple FireWire to Thunderbolt Adapter kit (Essential for heritage connectivity)

This unit is packed safely, double-boxed, and will be shipped fully insured.
