Tech 21 SansAmp Original 1990s - Black
Original vintage Tech 21 SansAmp from the 1990s — the original all-analog SansAmp design, not the later digital modeling approach and not a modern reissue.
Made in the USA. Serial #72077.
The original SansAmp was introduced by Tech 21 in 1989 and became one of the landmark direct-recording / analog amp-simulation pedals. It uses an entirely analog circuit with four main controls plus the distinctive 8-switch Character section and Lead / Normal / Bass voicing selector.
Controls:
Presence Drive
Amplifier Drive
Output
High
Character switches:
Mid-Boost I
Mid-Boost II
Low Drive
Clean Amp
Bright Switch
Vintage Tubes
Speaker Edge
Close Miking
Side selector provides Lead, Normal and Bass preamp voicings.
Fully functional and sounds as it should. This one has definitely been used and shows cosmetic wear, including scratches, edge wear and paint chips. Please look closely at the photos — I tried to show the condition accurately.
These work especially well for direct recording, as an analog preamp, or as a distortion/amp-simulation pedal in front of other gear.
Pedal only; no original box or power supply included.
Made in USA.
