Selling my Epiphone Casino in Worn Black. I bought this guitar during COVID and ended up playing it at a few gigs, so it’s been played and has some real-life character.

I’ve always loved this Casino for country twang, blues, and especially slide. The hollowbody construction and P-90 pickups give it a really unique voice. The pickups sound raw, punchy and gritty when pushed into overdrive, and it has that slightly unruly P-90 character that makes you want to turn the amp up.

I upgraded the tuners to Grover locking tuners, which make tuning changes and string changes much easier and give the guitar a nice practical upgrade.

The Casino features the classic hollowbody design, two P-90 pickups, mahogany neck, 60s C neck profile, and 22 frets. A few things to know about this one:

This is a used, gigged guitar, and there are a few missing original parts:

  • Missing the nut cover
  • Missing one pickguard screw
  • Missing one of the original knobs
  • Grover locking tuners have been installed in place of the originals

These are reflected in the price, and none of them keep the guitar from being played.

Overall, this is a really fun Casino with a great worn-in feel and a killer P-90 sound. If you're looking for a guitar for blues, slide, country, or rootsy rock — especially one that sounds great when you push an amp — this one has a lot of personality.
