Arcam PA240 Power Amplifier — Powerful, Refined Audiophile Sound

For sale is an Arcam PA240 high-performance power amplifier. This is an excellent choice for a serious 2-channel music system or a high-end home theater setup.

The PA240 is a very musical amplifier with the smooth, refined presentation Arcam is known for, while still providing excellent power, control, and dynamics. It has plenty of current for demanding speakers and delivers strong bass with a clean, detailed midrange and smooth top end.

Highlights:
• 2-channel Class G power amplifier
• 225 watts per channel into 8 ohms
• 380 watts per channel into 4 ohms
• Can be bridged for approximately 790 watts into 8 ohms
• Balanced XLR and RCA inputs
• Excellent current capability for difficult speaker loads
• Class G design provides much of the smoothness of Class A operation with considerably better efficiency
• Excellent for both dedicated 2-channel audio and home theater systems

Sound:
The PA240 strikes a great balance between warmth, detail, dynamics, and control. Bass is deep and authoritative, vocals and instruments have excellent body, and the upper frequencies are detailed without sounding overly bright or aggressive.

This would be a particularly good amplifier for speakers from Revel, KEF, B&W, MartinLogan, Vandersteen, ADS, Focal, Dynaudio, Sonus faber, and many others.
