Hello! for sale here is a 1984 Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal, made in Japan.
This pedal works and sounds exactly as it should. All four potentiometers have been replaced with parts matching the original values and tapers, so the controls respond just like a stock unit. Inside, the circuit board is clean, corrosion free, and very well preserved.
Note: the input and output jacks can be a little finicky if the cables are moved or wiggled around. Once the cables are plugged in and left alone, the signal is solid with no issues.
The original knobs went missing at some point before I got it. I’m happy to include a set of replacement knobs, though they aren’t original or period correct.
The enclosure shows honest wear for a 40+ year old pedal, including paint chips on the edges and sides, light tarnish on the jacks, and wear on the rubber pad and bottom label (see photos). None of this affects performance.
Additional photos are available on request, including gut shots. Questions are always welcome. Thanks for looking!
