Darkglass Microtubes Infinity, bass preamp / distortion / compressor / USB interface. Designed in Finland

Power supply is not included.

It packs the three main Microtubes drives (B3K, Vintage, and X) into the programmable Darkglass footprint, with multiband compression on every mode, cab IRs, a touch EQ, tuner, and a practice/interface path.

Signal path and modes

•  Five preamp modes: clean multiband tube preamp, B3K normal, B3K multiband, Vintage normal, Vintage multiband. Microtubes X is also in the engine set.

•  Compressor ratios: 4:1, 8:1, 12:1, 20:1, and ALL IN. One knob sets input gain; makeup gain is automatic.

•  Five onboard IR cab slots. Defaults are Darkglass-selected; more load from the Darkglass Suite library (bass and guitar cabs, including Elite and Neodymium captures).

•  Built-in chromatic tuner, noise gate, and preset recall. Bluetooth plus the Suite app for presets, IRs, and firmware. USB MIDI is supported.

Controls

•  Knobs: Compression, Drive, Tone·Era, Blend, Level. On Vintage modes, Tone·Era is the decade-style Era control.

•  Six touch sliders, each ±12 dB: low shelf, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1.5 kHz, 3 kHz, high shelf.

•  Three metal footswitches. Small headphone-volume pot on the side.

•  1/8” headphone out (16–600 ohm)

•  XLR DI with ground lift

•  Two balanced 1/4” TRS outs (left/right). Mono cable works into an unbalanced amp input.

•  1/8” TRS MIDI in, Type B

•  USB-C: audio interface, Suite, IR library, updates, USB MIDI

•  9V DC, center-negative, about 500 mA. Regulated supply only. 

Electrical and physical

•  Input impedance 1 MΩ. Output impedance 220 Ω.

•  18 × 12 × 6 cm (7” × 4.5” × 2.5”). About 0.7 kg / 1.55 lb.
