A beautiful and highly sought-after 1983 Fender JV Squier ST-57 '57 Reissue Stratocaster, built in Japan during the earliest and most respected period of Fender Japan production.

These early JV instruments have become particularly collectible because of their construction, vintage-correct specifications and excellent Japanese craftsmanship. This is a particularly desirable Fiesta Red example with a maple neck and the classic early-'80s JV specification.

The neck is pencil dated 6-17-83 and has a lovely, comfortable '50s-style soft V profile.

It has 21 frets, a 25.5" scale length, bolt-on construction and three early black-bottom pickups, with two featuring cloth-covered wiring and one using PVC wiring. The guitar comes with an additional spare cloth-wired black-bottom pickup and a hard case.

The guitar is in excellent vintage condition for a 40+ year old instrument, with some honest age-related playwear and edge marks consistent with its age.
