Sabian 17" Crash FRX

The Sabian 17" Crash FRX delivers articulate, controlled crashes through frequency-reduction technology rather than raw volume suppression. This cymbal excels in recording sessions, small ensembles, and any context where refined crashes enhance rather than overpower the mix. The extra-thin profile and micro-perforations combine to produce a quick, shimmering response with an exceptionally soft feel across light and medium strike dynamics.

Sonic Design and Construction

B20 Bronze material paired with extra-thin thickness creates a cymbal engineered for sensitivity and control. The Frequency-Reduced (FRX) design technology targets and reduces specific frequencies that typically dominate a crash's character, while micro-perforations positioned near the bell subdue offensive overtones without sacrificing projection or clarity in dense musical contexts.

Performance Characteristics

This 17" crash cuts through mix clutter by controlling which frequencies project rather than relying on aggressive volume. The cymbal maintains articulation and musical responsiveness across a wide range of playing situations, making it particularly effective for players who prioritize precision and sonic sophistication over maximum impact.
