Schecter C-1 Standard Plus Double Cutaway Guitar in Transparent Black Burst

The C-1 Standard Plus is built around a thin, fast neck and lightweight mahogany body designed to minimize fatigue during long sessions while maximizing upper-fret access via its double cutaway design. This is a straightforward workhorse guitar engineered for rock and metal applications where clarity, sustain, and playability take priority over aesthetic flourishes.

Playability & Feel

The 3-piece roasted maple neck resists humidity shifts and delivers a responsive playing surface, while the thin "C" profile—20 mm at the first fret and 22 mm at the 12th—sits naturally in the hand. A 14" fretboard radius balances comfort with precision, and the 24 jumbo frets across a 25.5" scale provide fast access to higher positions without sacrificing note definition or intonation stability across the 42 mm graphite nut.

Tone & Electronics

A pair of Schecter Richter-6 passive humbuckers deliver thick, controlled tones that articulate well under drive and distortion without muddiness. The signal path stays short and simple with just a master volume, master tone, and 3-way selector switch, allowing the pickups and solid mahogany body with flamed maple top to define the guitar's character without unnecessary electronic coloration.
