Here’s a beautiful and unusual 1993–94 Fender Telecaster TL72-53 (K-569), Made in Japan, finished in classic 3-Tone Sunburst with a maple neck and black pickguard.
What makes this particular guitar especially interesting is the “K-569” stamp found both in the neck pocket and on the neck heel. The Fender Japan catalog from this period does not appear to list 3-Tone Sunburst as a standard color option for the TL72-53, suggesting this may have been a special-order or limited-run instrument, possibly commissioned by a Japanese dealer.
The guitar is in good condition for its age and has developed a very natural, light vintage relic from more than 30 years of use. There are various finish chips, scratches, small dings, and general signs of play throughout. Nothing feels excessive or neglected - in hand, the guitar still feels surprisingly clean and well cared for, more like a genuinely played-in vintage instrument than a heavily worn guitar. The wear gives the sunburst finish a lot of character and suits the early-’70s Telecaster aesthetic beautifully.
The frets are in good condition, with even wear and no significant divots. There is still plenty of fret life remaining, and the guitar plays cleanly without unwanted buzzing.
The original pickups are present, and the electronics are functioning properly. Hardware shows normal age and use consistent with the rest of the instrument.
The guitar has received a professional setup and is ready to play.
A particularly cool example of an early-’90s Fender Japan Telecaster - classic ’72-style looks, naturally aged condition, and the added intrigue of the factory ORDER MADE markings.
No case included.
The following work has been done: full cleaning, fret polishing and string height setup (2.3 mm at the 12th fret on the low E string), pickup height adjusted for balance and clarity, and a fresh set of D'Addario XL 10/46 strings installed.
