Bought genuine Gibson cream pickup rings thinking that I would have her forever, and prefer them to the original 58 plastic formulation. They have not been installed. Temporarily removed the pickguard to show the grain in the picks and compare color to pickup rings. Great low action with perfect tall frets. This guitar feels like a guitar that you have had forever and screams "play me!" Some very minor surface marks from playing, and a couple of large chips out of the finish on the back of the neck at the 4th fret where the back of your thumb hangs and small ding around 7th fret . I sneezed and knocked her over, so selling at thousands off list price. Two small indentations on the top by the tone controls that do not break the finish. There is the aniline dye bleed like the old guitars had from the factory. This will fade over time with playing and exposure to light, and shows you that you have the real deal.
