2010 Gibson Dove – Antique Natural – Bozeman, Montana – Hardshell Case

For sale is a 2010 Gibson Dove in Antique Natural, built at Gibson’s acoustic facility in Bozeman, Montana.

The Dove is one of Gibson’s classic square-shouldered acoustics, with a solid spruce top, flame maple back and sides, 25.5” scale, ornate Dove pickguard and bridge, parallelogram fretboard inlays, and bound neck/headstock.

This example has a big, clear, articulate voice with strong projection and a little more definition and top-end clarity than many mahogany-backed Gibson acoustics. It works particularly well for strumming and flatpicking, but is balanced enough for lighter playing as well.

The guitar is in very good used condition for its age. It has normal cosmetic wear from use, including visible scratches and marks on the headstock face and edges, along with light surface wear elsewhere. I’ve tried to photograph the condition clearly rather than hide anything.

There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs. The neck is straight, the truss rod functions normally, and the bridge is secure. The guitar was professionally set up by Long & McQuade in Vancouver approximately a year ago and has played well since.

It is equipped with an onboard pickup. I’m not certain of the specific model, so I’d rather not guess, but it is installed and functional.

A very attractive Bozeman-made Dove, particularly with the highly figured cherry-red maple back. It has been played and shows honest cosmetic wear, but structurally it is solid and ready to go.
