2009 Gibson USA Grabber II Limited Edition electric bass in excellent condition with the original Gibson hardshell case.
This is one of only 350 Grabber IIs Gibson built for the 2009 Limited Run Series. It’s a modern take on the early-’70s Grabber: thin maple body, set maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, and the sliding humbucker that lets you move the pickup between neck and bridge for different tones.
Condition
Excellent. Clean satin ebony finish with only light, honest play wear. Frets have plenty of life. Electronics and sliding pickup work as they should. Hardware is original and intact. No breaks, repairs, extra holes, or modifications. Plays and sounds great.

About the bass
The original Grabber (1973–early ’80s) was Gibson’s bolt-on rock bass with a movable pickup — the one you “grab” and slide. Players like Gene Simmons used the vintage model; this 2009 reissue keeps that sliding-pickup idea but uses a set neck, rosewood board, and a humbucker instead of the original single-coil.
Slide the pickup toward the neck for a rounder, fuller sound. Slide it toward the bridge for tighter attack and more cut. One volume and one tone — simple and effective.
