The PCH X2 is a two-channel active direct interface, effectively two independent DI channels in one enclosure. Each channel is phantom-powered with transformer isolation, has a high-impedance buffered 1/4" input, a balanced XLR output switchable between mic and line level, a passive 1/4" thru output, its own ground lift switch, and a three-position high-pass filter (off, 240Hz, 80Hz).

A phase reversal switch on the left XLR output and a Sum switch for combining both inputs to the left outputs add flexibility for stereo or mono routing. The unit is built from 3mm extruded aluminium and is designed to pass signal without colouring it, keeping response flat across the audible range.

Strymon positions the PCH X2 as a sonically transparent direct interface for handling audio signals from pedalboards and amp modellers without distortion, stating a frequency response that stays flat to within half a dB from below 10Hz to above 80kHz. It is built around the same circuitry as the PCH X1, doubled up to give independent phantom-powered, transformer-isolated channels with individual filtering and ground lift control.
