For sale today is a Gibson SJ-200 from 1951. This guitar is a gem - almost fully original, and in great shape! A few notes on the overall condition:

-This guitar has play wear, dings, & scratches from the last 75 years, plus plenty of lacquer checking (not all the checking shows up perfectly in the photos, but you can still get a great idea of what to expect).

-Three small cracks in the top have been professionally repaired and are rock solid (see slide 7), same with a small crack under the pickguard. The bridge and pickguard have also been reglued.

-Saddle has been replaced with a comopensated, bone saddle. Nut is original. Tuners are original, but the buttons have likely been replaced.

-The replacement frets have some wear, but wear is light and even, and the guitar rings out beautifully up and down the fretboard without dead spots, significant buzzing, or other major issues.

-The action is currewntly 6/64" at the 12th fret on the low E and 5/64" on the high E, with room to come down at the saddle, but not a lot.

-Nut Width is 1 11/16" (42.73mm)

-Weight is 5 lbs. 0.88 oz.

-Includes original hardshell case.
