This is a highly prized Fender Limited Edition Aerodyne Classic Stratocaster (often designated as the AST-65 or AST-M series in domestic markets).Based on the serial number, it was produced between 2006 and 2008 at the Dyna Gakki factory in Japan. This specific configuration is part of a premium "Deluxe/Classic" sub-series that differed wildly from the standard all-black export models of the mid-2000s. The Finish & Top: The exact color catalog name is Transparent Blue and shows a beautiful "Blue Flame". It features a book-matched AAA flame maple veneer layered over a curved body. Unlike the standard black basswood Aerodynes, this flame-top variation utilizes a 2-piece Alder body hidden beneath the translucent finish, giving it a heavier weight and punchier mid-range tone. **There are two imperfections that appear to be under the finish as shown in the photos. It has a 3-ply Aged White pickguard (which often looks purely white or parchment under modern indoor lighting) held down by 11 vintage-style screws. It is wrapped in a distinct cream-colored body binding that perfectly outlines the curved contours of the Stratocaster shape. It features a vintage-correct 7.25-inch radius rosewood fingerboard, 21 small frets, and a contoured, rounded ergonomic neck heel for more comfortable access to the upper frets. The guitar comes with a zippered light weight hardside case.
