I bought this 2021 Breedlove Premier Adirondack Spruce-East Indian Rosewood Concerto CE A/E Guitar used in November 2024. I am selling it because I very rarely play it since I slightly prefer my 2002 Martin HD-28, and a guitar that is this good should be played regularly.
It has a 1-3/4" neck width, plays and sounds great, and is in near mint condition. It has an undersaddle pickup. The only things I found under close examination under a bright light that keep it from being mint are:
1. 2 small dings on the top rear of the headstock that I tried to show in a photo.
2. Near the edge of the top on the lower bout treble side, there is a slight smooth indentation about the size of a pea which can only be seen in the right light.
3. There are light surface scratches which exist on any instrument.
A couple of aesthetic things that I don't particularly like but should not be a concern is the runout that you can see in the pictures which shows up as the two halves of the top being different shades of color in various angles, and the telegraphing of the braces through the top of the guitar which is also on a small body Breedlove that I have because they use thin tops. Google says this telegraphing as "occurs when the internal wooden braces glued underneath the soundboard show as faint, visible lines or ridges on the outer surface of the guitar top under certain lighting. Most of the time, telegraphing is a cosmetic characteristic rather than a structural defect. High-quality acoustic guitars often feature thin, highly responsive soundboards to maximize tone and volume. Because the wood is thin, the solid wood responds to internal bracing, making the lines more prone to showing."
A couple of aesthetic things that I really like are the cross-silking/medullary rays on the nice Adirondack top, and the spalted maple rosette.
It plays very easily and is currently set up with action of just under 6/64" at the 12th fret on the low E and just over 4/64" at the 12th fret on the high E, with a comfortable amount of relief. There is barely any fret wear...I could only see slight evidence of the strings having rubbed on the first few frets, but it would be hard to even call it wear.
The case is in great shape, too. According to my postal scale, the guitar weighs approximately 4.6 pounds.
I will ship only to the Continental U.S. Be aware that Reverb will add sales tax to your order which you are responsible for paying. Feel free to ask me any questions or to make an offer.
Note: I also have this guitar listed on another auction site, so if it sells there first, then this listing will be removed.
