This is a controller to replace the stock rocker foot switch for a vintage Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe pedal. If you don't own a vintage Uni-Vibe then this controller will do nothing for you. It connects to the 5-pin port using any 5-pin Discrete DIN cable and allows you to control the rate and bypass of the pedal using the toggle switch. This is a great option for people that don't need the expression pedal feature of the original one or just don't have the space on their pedal board. Also a great alternative for those with rack mount setups or for studio use.
The recommended cable to use is a Hosa MID-503 cable although any 5-pin Discrete cable will work. Please note that not all MIDI cables wire all five pins - basic MIDI cables likely will not be compatible and only have 3 wires. This device does not require external power. Uses high quality parts- Bourns pot, die cast aluminum 4.5" x 2.5" enclosure. Please ask questions before buying.
