I’m downsizing my collection – so a few special guitars are moving on.

For sale is a very well-maintained Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette Special HSS from 2010 in Vintage Sunburst. A classic and exceptionally versatile Music Man model featuring original DiMarzio HSS pickups, a Music Man Vintage Tremolo, the patented Silent Circuit, and the matching headstock in Vintage Sunburst, which was available as an option at the time. The original Music Man hard case is also included.

The Silhouette Special differs from the standard Silhouette, amongst other things, due to its classic HSS configuration with 22 frets. As a result, the neck pickup is positioned further towards the traditional position of an S-style guitar. Combined with the 25.5-inch scale length and the compact Music Man body, this results in a very direct, familiar and, at the same time, distinctive playing feel.

The original pickup configuration consists of a DiMarzio Virtual PAF humbucker at the bridge and two DiMarzio Custom single-coils, specially manufactured for Music Man, in the middle and neck positions. As a result, the Silhouette Special covers an exceptionally wide range – from transparent and dynamic single-coil sounds, through the typical mid-range tones, to more powerful rock sounds via the bridge humbucker.

Another interesting feature is the patented Music Man Silent Circuit. This active circuit reduces the hum typical of single-coil pickups without having to resort to a humbucker-only configuration.

Visually, this model stands out from the standard versions with their natural-finish headstock thanks to its matching headstock in Vintage Sunburst. Together with the rosewood fingerboard, this creates a particularly harmonious and classic appearance.

The selected maple neck with rosewood fingerboard is secured with five screws and finished with Music Man’s classic Gunstock Oil & Wax finish. The nut width is a compact 41.3 mm.

The guitar is in very good and well-maintained condition. There are only a few normal signs of wear.
