This is an early Gibson A-style mandolin from Kalamazoo, most likely an A-1, though the handwritten style number on the label is hard to read. The label says "Gibson Mandolin-Guitar Co." and the serial is 22282

The tuners look like replacements. top has heavy finish crazing, and both the top and back have a very even, glossy look.

The bridge has a filled chip. Comes with a modern hard "collings" case.

Incredible condition for its age. Playable now.
