The Epiphone DR-500MCE is a dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar from the Masterbilt series, drawing on the heritage of Epiphone's 1930s Masterbilt designs. It features all-solid wood construction throughout - a solid Sitka spruce top paired with solid mahogany back and sides - which gives it a tonal richness and responsiveness that laminate guitars simply can't match at this price point. The mahogany neck carries a SlimTaper "D" profile with a 25.5-inch scale length and a 1.68-inch nut width, making it comfortable for a wide range of playing styles across its 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. On-board electronics include a pickup system with a 3-band EQ and built-in tuner, allowing the guitar's natural acoustic character to translate faithfully when plugged in.
