ThorpyFX x Lazy J “The J” Analog Amp Emulator

A seriously impressive collaboration between ThorpyFX and Lazy J, The J is designed to capture the feel and response of the legendary Lazy J20 in pedal form.

Rather than functioning like a conventional overdrive, The J is built as an analog amp emulator, with a high-quality transformer and controls that let you shape the response, output, supply, tone, brightness and overall character of the pedal. It can go from cleaner, touch-sensitive tweed tones to rich, harmonically complex breakup and saturated vintage drive. 

One of the coolest features is the ability to select between 12AX7- and 12AY7-inspired response, allowing for a dirtier or cleaner feel depending on the setting. It works particularly well into a clean or slightly driven amp and also stacks nicely with other pedals. 

Built in the UK using premium components, including 1% metal-film resistors, WIMA/Panasonic capacitors and gold-plated through-hole PCBs. 

A very cool option for anyone chasing responsive vintage tweed tones without having to bring the full amp along.
